It is Day 2 of the 21 day Prayer and Fasting…. (Click HERE to read about it)
Yesterday we discussed that “Prayer Answering God” is not one of God’s attributes but His personality. Click HERE to read more.
Today we are going to be looking at how God empowers His people through Prayer and Fasting.
First of all, what is empowerment?
According to Google, empowerment is authority or power given to someone to do something. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Empowerment is transfer of power and the devil is powerless when faced with higher power.
The thing about the devil is that he doesn’t respect your cry. When in despair and you cry, you only make people mock your God (if she has a God, let Him show up for her) and make the devil fulfilled. But as soon as you display your power in the form of prayer, he will disappear. He only respects your power not your tears.
When Jesus was told of Lazarus’ death. He wept (John 11:35). Did Lazarus rise from the dead? No.
But as soon as he brandished the pwerr inheret in Him (John 11:43) and said “….Lazarus, come forth”.
The shackles of death were let loose and Lazarus arose from the dead.
Tears doesn’t move Satan, power does.
To be empowered by God is to gain supernatural authority, gain access to the realm of all round rest, become a solution provider, become a threat to the Kingdom of darkness and have your security guaranteed.
As you fast and pray, may power to trample upon your problems like though they never existed be your portion in Jesus name.
See you tomorrow.
