10 Health Benefits of Sperm

While conducting a research online, I proceeded to type “what happens when a man’s genes are stronger than a woman’s during fertilization” but while typing the above, I was at “what happens when”, when amebo Google decided to suggest some search items for me. What caught my attention the most was “what happens when you swallow sperm”. This goes to show how inquisitive women are concerning the idea of swallowing a lover’s semen. I was intrigued and decided to research on the topic. Here is what I found out. You might need a seat belt to even fathom what you are about to read.

What is sperm? (for those that missed Biology classes):
Semen is a bodily fluid that is secreted by the gonads of male animals. It contains spermatozoa and fructose and other enzymes that help the sperm to survive and facilitate successful fertilization. During the process of ejaculation, the semen is ejaculated from the seminal vesicle in the pelvis, which is where it is produced. Semen passes through the ejaculatory ducts and mixes with fluids from the seminal vesicles, the prostrate, and the bulbourethral glands. The seminal vesicles produce a viscous, fructose-rich fluid. This forms around 65-70% of the semen base. The white color of the semen is due to secretion from the prostate glands containing enzymes, citric acid, lipids, and acid phosphatase. This forms around 25-30% of the semen base. At each ejaculation around 200-500 million spermatozoa are released by the testes. This forms about 2-5% of the semen composition. Read “Understanding His Private Part” for more information on the male’s sexual organ.
What’s inside?:
Semen is mostly water. It contains more than 50 different compounds including hormones, endorphins, neurotransmitters and immuno suppressants. Other substances present in the semen include the following:

  • fructose
  • ascorbic acid
  • zinc
  • cholesterol
  • protein
  • calcium
  • chlorine
  • blood group antigens
  • citric acid
  • DNA
  • magnesium
  • vitamin B12
  • phosphorus
  • sodium
  • potassium
  • uric acid
  • lactic acid
  • nitrogen
  • vitamin C
Semen also consists of a variety of proteins that have antimicrobial activity against bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Shocked, relax, you have seen nothing yet

Is semen edible?
While conducting oral sex on a partner, women have being caught with the dilemma of either allowing her partner ejaculate in her mouth and even if he does, whether to spit it out or swallow. The big question here is, “is it okay for a woman to swallow semen?” The fastest answer is YES, it is very okay to swallow semen. Meaning semen is edible.

How does it taste?
From what I have heard from the ladies, sperm has a salty taste but research has shown that diet controls the taste of semen. Some recommendations for sweetening the taste of semen include eating or drinking things with high sugar content such as fruits – pineapple in particular, or fruit juices. Other suggestions for improving semen palatability include reducing meat consumption or ingesting cinnamon, lemon, or green tea.

Can a woman get pregnant by swallowing semen?
When you swallow semen, it goes into your stomach, where they are digested with all your other food. There is no passage connecting your stomach to your ovaries. You can not get pregnant from swallowing sperm. Relax..lol.

Can STDs be transmitted by swallowing semen?
The answer is yes and no. No because when you swallow it the enzymes and acids in your stomach will quickly destroy any viruses and bacteria. Yes because semen can contain several viruses that may be transmitted via bodily fluids from an infected man. Therefore, if there is an open sore in the mouth or bleeing gums, then STI’s like HIV, Hepatitis B and C, herpes, and Chlamydia can be transmitted via the semen into the blood stream of the receiver. In case the person is infected, you can catch diseases like gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes and chlamydia. HIV virus is contained in body fluids, like semen, but it has to get into your blood through your bleeding gums or damaged teeth. If your mouth is strong and your gums are firm, then you can swallow the HIV virus without any trouble.
Benefits of swallowing semen?
Science has discovered that semen is loaded with more than just pregnancy inducing capabilities, below are a few of the benefits of semen.

i. Reduces risk of Preeclapsia:
In a Dutch study of women who engaged in oral sex and swallowed the semen, the researchers found that swallowing semen was associated with a lower risk of preeclampsia (a condition in pregnancy characterized by high blood pressure, sometimes with fluid retention and proteinuria.). One hypothesis for this is that substances in the semen adapt the mother’s immune system so that it accepts foreign proteins present in sperm, as well as in the placenta and fetus. This maintains the blood pressure at a low level and thereby reduces the preeclampsia risk.
ii. Improves the mood (Natural Anti-Depressant):
Although sex is a well known mood enhancer, advantages of swallowing cum also include fighting depression. Semen contains potent antidepressants, which are proven to fight depression. They include cortisol, estrone, oxytocin, thyrotropin-releasing hormone, prolactin, melatonin and serotonin which are all natural antidepressants. Additionally, cum contains oxytocin and estrone, which elevate the mood and leave you feeling happier and more energized. Even better, cum is packed with cortisol, a natural hormone that increases affection. What’s more, cum is loaded with the sleep inducing hormone melatonin, just in case you have trouble sleeping at night. This concoction of potent chemicals should surely chase away the blues.
iii. Prevents miscarriage:
Research has also shown that some women are infertile or miscarry due to the presence of antibodies that destroy the proteins or antigens present in their partner’s semen. Having oral sex and swallowing the semen of the partner may help make the pregnancy safer and more successful as the woman is swallowing her partner’s antigens

iv. Improves ovulation:
In a study conducted by researchers from the University of Saskatchewan, a protein in semen was found to act on the female brain to induce ovulation and that protein is the same molecule that controls the growth, maintenance and survival of neurons. The findings suggest that semen may work as a signalling hormone that acts via the hypothalamus and pituitary gland of the female brain, which triggers the release of other hormones involved in prompting ovulation.

v. Prevents morning sickness:
Work carried out by reproductive expert and psychologist Gordon Gallup from SUNY-Albany suggests that swallowing semen could provide a cure for morning sickness. Gordon hypothesizes that pregnant women vomit as a result of their bodies rejecting genetic material in the sperm as a foreign substance, but that by swallowing and ingesting the sperm of the baby’s father, they can build up immunity.

vi. Good for the skin:
Cum contains many different compounds that are great for your skin. They include a powerful antioxidant called spermine. It is thought to remove wrinkles, prevent acne, and smooth out the skin. Spermine is also found in grape fruit, soy beans, mushrooms and tea, albeit in much lower quantities. Cum is therefore a much more potent supplement for better skin.
Furthermore, semen is packed with protein, an essential building block for skin. Swallowing cum will also nourish your skin with essential minerals such as zinc, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. These are great for a healthy and smooth skin.

vii. Good for the hair: Swallowing semen is also good for hair growth. Zinc, magnesium, calcium, and other minerals found in cum encourage faster and stronger hair growth. Spermine in semen also promotes the elongation of epithelial cells responsible for hair growth. Prostaglandin E2, which promotes hair growth, is also found in semen. The advantages of swallowing cum therefore include giving you longer, glowing, and more beautiful hair.

viii. As a food ingredient:
As mentioned above, that semen contains sperm, but that is only one percent of what makes a man’s seminal fluid. Some other ingredients that semen does include are water, fructose (sugar), prostglandin, vitamin C, zinc, protein, lactic acid, magnesium, calcium chlorine, citric acid, creatine, potassium, vitamin B12, sodium, nitrogen, and phosphorus. Considering the above compounds, semen does seem to be quite a healthy thing to swallow. The protein content of semen is roughly equal to the protein content of an egg white. It was with these findings that a handbook titled Semenology which features a variety of booze recipes mixed with the stuff. Other cookbooks online have found a way of using semen as an ingredient to making drinks or even cooking food. Gross right?..lol
