A Birthday Shoutout To A Very Special Somebody

Daddy and Me

Pix 1: A few months Charles in diapers with his dad

It was a beautiful cold Saturday evening sometime on the 30th of July 1988 when the cries of a 3kg weighing boy was heard from the labor room at St. Charles Hospital in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. This boy was later named Charles Chigozie Junior “Kurtis Smith” Nwolisa after his dad and the hospital he was born in. From his first breath, he was already faced with a battle with the devil over his life as he was diagnosed with jaundice at birth and had to undergo blood transfusion to stay alive. To the shame of the devil, after overcoming his first battle on earth, this child has grown up healthy and strong (mentally, physically, spiritually, educationally and emotionally). He is normally referred to as C.J (Chigozie Junior) by his family and ex primary school mates, Charles by everyone else and Kurtis Smith by his amazing blog readers.

Apart from studying Petroleum Engineering in the great Covenant University, Nigeria, he has also gone on to acquire a Masters degree in Oil and Gas Management from Coventry University, UK. All these degrees pale in comparison to the calling and vision for his life which is to correct the girl child’s value in herself, helping people believe in their potentials, propel people to knowing and trusting God, advice people on how to live happy, stable and loving lives in their relationships and marriages. This vision birthed the “King Kurtis Smith’s Life Transforming Blog” on the 1st of January 2014 which has churned out 160 plus articles thus far amassing more than 20,000 views touching the lives of hundreds of people from over 120 countries all over the World. Remember when God gives the vision, He gives provision to fulfill it. Indeed God is GOOD.
Today is his birthday and I am using this medium to celebrate him and pray for him. May God bless you Charles, may your heart’s desires be yours, may you grow in the Love and Grace of God. You shall stand out amongst many men. You shall be a general to your generation and a ruler above your enemies. As God has given you the opportunity to see this year, He shall make you see many more years to come. Greatness is your portion. Make you be great beyond your expectations and helpers shall locate you. I speak favor into your life, let the Blood of Jesus speak for you and may the Holy Spirit manifest great things in your life. By this time next year, you will be 10 times more than what you are now in Jesus Name….AMEN.¬†Remember, its blessed to be a blessing especially to those who have blessed you.

God bless you.

NOTE: There is a particular saying that has kept him and has helped him overcome the challenges that life has thrown at him which is “every disappointment is a blessing in disguise” for Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God”. Joseph had to go through slavery and imprisonment to become what God destined him to be. No matter what you are doing through now, as long as you love and trust God, its all working together for your good. Stay blessed and have a wonderful week ahead.
